The Vision To Change Lives

The Vision To Change Lives

This past summer the company I work with Plastic Plus Ltd partnered with the Pinball Clemons Foundation where we provided an eye clinic for youth in need. The clinic was held at a school in the Jane/Finch area of Toronto. A highly vunerable part of the city where every donation, every gesture of giving and goodwill does not go unneeded.

We partnered with the University of Waterloo School of Optometry to provide a fully functional eye clinic where children had their eyes tested for vision problems as well as any underlying visual medical issues.

Together we saw more than 400 youth over the span of two days and ended up providing more than 100 pairs of glasses.

Vision is important to student success. Many of the children we saw had struggled for many years without knowing that it was simply their eyesight that was holding them back.

Many children with eye issues are often misdiagnosed with ADHD and behavioral issues. It is important for parents and teachers to take the time to address visual issues.

A simple eye exam can change a life!

Please share how your company is changing the lives of individuals in your community and around the world.
